Most of my time are spent in my campus.

Occasionally I travel to new places to meet new people.

Else, I’d be doing silly things with my bunch of silly friends.

Here you’ll see me rant about my life as I see it through my own eyes.

previous entries are immortalized here

It’s my last day at home before I leave Kuching for possibly 18 months or more so I decided to pick up my camera, take a bus to town and enjoy myself as a tourist in the place I was born, brought up and love so much.

Ok, I wanted to take the bus. The sun was toasting when I exited my house and my sister just came home and she didn’t need her car anymore. =p

I drove without direction for a while, and decided to park my car at Merdeka square. I started walking all the way to the riverside, back into China Street & Main Bazaar and took a boat ride opposite to have a good view of Kuching.

I’ve added some of the photos to my album collection.

Wonder why Kuchingites are so proud of the place they call their hometown? Even without the Pavillion and OneUtama money can buy for you? Its because the things we already have, since hundreds of years ago, that you can’t, that money can’t possibly buy.

I am going to miss you badly.

%%HALOSCAN_COMMENTS%%
No.. not for the rest of my life.”

They asked me.. ‘How do you call yourself a christian while you are so superstitious?’

I’m a confirmed, baptized Roman Catholic. Both my parents received Holy Matrimony as baptized Catholics in the Cathedral. But that doesn’t mean I forget myself as a chinese. Does not imply that I ditch my skin color and stop practicing my culture.

Yes, I believe the broom brings bad luck. I practice chinese beliefs so long as it does not offend people.

I believe in the Eastern theory of harmony just as the westerns believe in the phi. When the greeks found the golden ratio, they never said it was evil. Like the chinese, they simply have just discovered the building blocks of life. Like the scientists realized its the sperm that turns into bab(ies).

Being a christian and following buddhism, and a chinese educated la sallian, I think I have a balanced exposure from both environments. On top of that, I am currently studying in a campus with three kinds of Chinese, generally. Those who speaks mandarin only, those who speaks english only, and those who speaks all.

And sure enough, these are very interesting people to observe.

From the group of three, you can even group them geographically again, you see striking resemblance with those from South, North, East & West. In terms of their characteristics, behavior, family education and objectives etc.

From that big group with people, you find considerate, understanding, loyal, intelligent, helpful friends..

“... wherever you go, you always find yourself among influential, helpful people..”

I didn’t need him to tell me that, I live with a great roomate and housemates, and enough true good friends all around.

However, sometimes, from the North, you do find yourself some childish, self centered, narrow minded people who find it very difficult to receive the idea that she isn’t that great or attractive after all. With one or two of their friends who agree with whatever they say. And to overcome their jealousy by leashing out personal judgmental statements, hopefully to garner support and sympathy. You see them all over the world. (Like the cheerleaders on american TV?)

But in my place, we call them bitches.

Well, I don’t them that myself.

I just like to laugh at them, and shake my head after reading.

p/s / that is why I keep two males at home. no regrets.

%%HALOSCAN_COMMENTS%%
And a few more hectic days I’ll start another phase of ridiculous schedule in Penang, KL, UTP for the rest of the year.

I had barely enough time left to catch-up with my friends. Most of my daytime were spent sleeping. And I work at optimum output when everyone is at bed.

Minus the late EURO with my colleagues (GO HOLLAND!), and lunch breaks with my high school course-mates.. I think I’m divided into multiple subdivisions.

Apart from being a part time multi subjects tutor to Kenric, I’m on a full-time, 3 weeks deadline, full marketing package supplier to my sister’s new bakery. from tiny product stickers, to business cards and pastry menus, and full scale rendered 3D Interior Design.. I’m the biggest charity with no appeals. Not forgetting the wedding conference at Penang this coming 27th, and exhibition in KL.

I thought finals were crazy.. and I was wanting this semester break so much so I thought I’d be ‘waking-up-dunno-watodo’, now I’m here, half alive.

For now, whoever interested to help me out in the bakery, please let me know

Urgently needed, taster for fine itallian coffee beans, baked and chilled cheese cakes, french pastries and surveys.

Have been searching nationwide for coffee beans... can you believe it?

Thank god there’s free video calls every evening so I can laugh at you, and forget about all that work!

%%HALOSCAN_COMMENTS%%
My sister bought me a 6 Million Dollar home during her last trip to Singapore! I gotta love turning 21!

What is a 6 Million Dollar Home?

It’s a millionaire’s home for my babies. I’ve got a dreadful embarrassment to house my lappy. And I the 6MD is the perfect house for my alpha.

Many people don’t know crumpler. Maybe that’s why there’s only 1 boutique store @ KLCC in my entire 28million-strong malaysia but thousands of them in the small small singapore. (NUS official messenger bag!)

I’ve been carrying a huge & dreadful embarrassment around for a long time people thought I’m crazy in UTP.

But then, I think its a good idea.. keep the big price up while the quality.

Here’s the 6M dollar home =)

by the way, I WANT THE #@$@$! Lanyard!!!

%%HALOSCAN_COMMENTS%%

I wanted 3G, GPS, WiFi, QWERTY, huge touchscreen blablabla... to keep myself connected all the time.

I thought of the X1 Xperia, and it was postponed until next year. I almost wanted the i780, but she thinks its fugly. I ended up keeping my p990i until Randall said I was collecting antiques.

Thank god, I saw this ad, while trying to download the latest iTunes. Crap. I think I found it. The perfect companion.

And to top it off, IT IS WHITE!!! (only with the 16GB)

This is it. At all cost.
